Pickering Casino Resort remains open around the clock during the continuing labour disruption, but several amenities and services are operating on reduced schedules or are temporarily unavailable, according to Great Canadian Entertainment’s official operations update checked September 28.
What is open
The operator says the casino remains open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Sun Express is listed as open 24/7, while Sun Sui Wah is listed from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
Other restaurant hours are modified. The official update lists Rock House from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily; Zio’s from noon to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and M Cha Bar from noon to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to midnight Saturday and Sunday, with Monday closed.
Temporary closures and modified services
The official update lists the Poker Room, Starbucks, Casual, Copperhorn, the hotel pool and hotel luggage service as temporarily closed or unavailable. Housekeeping for occupied hotel rooms is also limited, with guests directed to call the front desk for garbage removal, fresh towels or amenity replenishment.
Table-game availability is also modified. Great Canadian says baccarat is available 24 hours from Wednesday through Saturday, while blackjack and roulette are available from noon to 4 a.m. On Sunday through Tuesday, all table games are listed from noon to 4 a.m.
Access, parking and shuttle information
Vehicle access has resumed, but the operator warns that entry through the picket line may move at roughly one vehicle per minute and could cause minor delays. Complimentary parking remains available in the garage and outdoor lot. The casino shuttle has resumed seven-day service with reservations required up to 48 hours before departure.
The overflow parking lot and complimentary parking shuttle remain listed as temporarily unavailable. Because operating conditions can change, visitors should check the operator’s update immediately before travelling.
